1. His biggest influence was probably his best friend, Ben Affleck. They became friends when their families both moved to the same neighborhood in Boston. According to a genealogical report, the boys are actually distant cousins.
2. When Matt was sixteen he headed off to find fortune and fame as an actor in New York City. His well-educated parents frowned on the trip so they wouldn’t finance it.
